The Hub : History
 

The company was formed at the beginning of 1996 by Howard Longstaff and has grown organically responding to the market and it’s clients.

Originally with its roots in the contract market delivering teams of people to both large and small projects initially in the UK, and then on a global basis. However over the last five years The Hub has moved more and more, into the permanent market, delivering strategic individuals and building teams.

  1996
  • The Company was formed early 1996 by Howard Longstaff
  • In December The Hub moved into bigger offices in Surrey from London.
  1997
  • The Hub opens offices in California – Redondo Beach, a suburb of LA.
  1998
  • Working with all Big 6 providing contract resource on large Pan-European and global ERP implementations.
  • The Hub opens an Australasian office in New Zealand servicing across the Pacific-rim, delivering candidates from the UK, Europe and US.
  • US office expands growth with leading Dot.Com companies

  1999

  • The Hub UK delivers annual over £3million in turnover.
  2000
  • UK Office delivers rollouts of Oracle Applications and SAP implementations. Building teams of both technical and functional resource with senior client managers
  2001
  • The Hub UK moves into new corporate offices in Reigate, Surrey.
  • The Hub UK starts working with a number of Venture Capitalist companies.
  2002
  • Engaged to build a number of cross  functional teams in the US for a number of UK VC funded companies.
  • Created the global deployment team, using a scalable and flexible model that is deployed quickly into any location and market around the world. 
  2003
  • Deliver for many UK local & central government projects delivering e-Government initiatives.
  2004
  • The Hub opens a satellite office in New York to service East Coast clients.
  2005
  • The Hub Deployment Team, delivering permanent teams for Enterprise and VC funded companies globally. See where we are working today.
  • Delivering strategic contract resource to such diverse locations as Hanoi in Vietnam, Kuala Lumpa in Malaysia and many other foreign and domestic locations.

  2008

  • The Hub moves into specific niches, working closely with a select number of clients in both the Enterprise space and the the VC funded arena.
  • The Hub moves to a new office, just outside Reigate.
